Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts rainfall in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, and Gilgit.


Islamabad: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has once again predicted more showers in various cities across the country.
The ongoing spell of monsoon rains continues to bring showers to different cities, and the Meteorological Department has issued a forecast for more rainfall today.
According to the weather authorities, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Gilgit, Attock, Chakwal, and Sialkot are among the cities where clouds will pour.
The possibility of rain is also indicated in Gujrat, Kasur, Mianwali, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sahiwal, Bahawalnagar, Okara, DG Khan, and Rajanpur.
In addition, today, Dera Ismail Khan, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Kohistan, including Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Chitral, and Karim, may also experience overcast skies with showers.
Meanwhile, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir may encounter cloudy skies and chances of rain, while most areas in Balochistan are expected to remain hot and humid.
The weather department has advised residents of Sukkur, Larkana, Thatta, Badin, and Karachi to prepare for possible rainfall, as monsoon showers can lead to urban flooding.
