Dolphin Force has been given 40 cars and 200 motorcycles to start the operations, enabling them to respond quickly to emergencies throughout the city.
Islamabad: The Islamabad Police Dolphin Emergency Response Unit was officially launched, marking a significant advancement in reducing street crime and enhancing citizen protection in the nation's capital.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Friday inaugurates the Islamabad Police Dolphin Emergency Response Unit.
The minister praised Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), for quickly establishing this unit to safeguard public safety.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah addressed the personnel of the Dolphin Force and highlighted the honorable obligation placed upon them, saying, "Your duty is the protection of the citizens, which is a form of worship." He expressed the hope that they would work carefully to protect the citizens' lives and property.
The minister applauded the formation of the Dolphin Force and gave special recognition to ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan and the entire team for their dedication to maintaining the security and safety of the general population. He emphasized the role of the Force in reducing street crime and prosecuting offenders.
He stated his belief in the police force's competence and their capacity to significantly decrease street violence in the nation's capital.
The Dolphin Force was created as a result of the success of a similar effort that was initially launched in Lahore. The prime minister, alarmed by the rise in street crime in Islamabad and motivated by a desire to create safer neighborhoods, contributed funds to the establishment of the Dolphin Emergency Response Unit.
The 900 highly trained police officers who make up the Dolphin team will actively patrol Islamabad's streets in an effort to reduce street crime and quickly handle situations.
In order to provide a secure and comfortable environment for the residents during religious events, the force will be essential in securing religious buildings and processions.
Furthermore, the Dolphin Force has been given 40 cars and 200 motorcycles to start the operations, enabling them to respond quickly to emergencies throughout the city.
