Journalists and media workers will be able to register after the release of this online form.


Islamabad: Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb Monday released the health insurance form of journalists online.
While addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Journalist Health Insurance has been introduced for all the journalists of Pakistan.
According to the minister, journalists and media workers will be able to register after the release of this online form.
She said: “In addition to the working journalists in the fields, those in front of and behind the camera and those working at the desk will also be covered in this health insurance”.
The minister added that life-threatening emergency services will be included in the insurance. “Some Out Patient Department (OPD) services including renal transplant, cancer treatment, dialysis, endoscopy, emergency, day surgery, post and pre-surgery treatment, maternity benefit are part of the insurance”.
Information Minister said that this form will be available on the website of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Press Information Department (PID).
The journalists will have to enter personal details including name, organization details and other information followed by an email confirming that the form has been submitted.

Aurangzeb claimed that journalists have not been subjected to torture in the current regime. Shehbaz Sharif wanted the health security of the working journalists to be ensured. On August 07, the Prime Minister will formally inaugurate the health insurance.
