11 killed as school roof collapses in China

Beijing: In an unfortunate incident, 11 people were killed while eight sustained the injuries as a result of collapse of the gymnasium roof at a junior high school in China.

According to details, the tragic incident took place in the northeastern province of Heilongjiang, where 19 members of the volleyball team were practicing in the school gymnasium.

The report told that the construction of the new building with the gym was in progress. The causwe of the incident has been thought to be the pile of construction materials on the roof. Police detained the constructor officer.
