Mumbai: A senior police officer in India committed murder-suicide, taking the lives of his wife and nephew.
According to Indian media reports, the incident occurred in the state of Maharashtra, where the 57-year-old Assistant Police Commissioner first shot his wife and nephew and then took his own life.
The police reveal that the incident took place around 3:30 am.
Assistant Police Commissioner resided in a bungalow in the Bineary area and had recently been assigned to ACP's post in Amravati.
Authorities have not discovered any notes at the scene, leaving them to speculate about the reasons behind the tragic incident.
