Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz has alleged that Prime Minister Imran Khan misused authority of PM office.

While addressing media, the PML-N leader said that following the revelations by former Director General of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), it is clear that Imran Khan misused his authority as a premier to take revenge from opposition parties.
“The testimony of Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, Arshad Malik and now Bashir Memon is on record. They [government] are calling heads of state institutions and asking them to register cases against Nawaz Sharif and myself. Never before in history has such heinous crimes been committed inside the office of present Prime Minister. Think of the day when your government will end,” she said lashing out at Imran Khan.
Maryam Nawaz said that Pakistan’s reputation is at stake while this government is busy taking political revenge from the opponents.
“They even targeted a sitting judge of Supreme Court Justice Qazi Faez Isa. The allegations this government is levying on opponents were never heard of in past. They are involving state institutions and ordering them to launch inquiries against political opponents,” she added.
The PML-N leader stated that the nation is suffering due to incompetency of Prime Minister Imran Khan and his government.
“There is complete lawlessness in this country. I request our judiciary to take up this matter personally,” she said adding that the federal government cannot become political martyr now.
Maryam Nawaz further claimed that had Pakistan People Party (PPP) joined the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) resignation strategy, the government would have been gone now.
It is pertinent to mention here that former the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) director-general Bashir Memon while speaking in an interview with a private news channel alleged that Federal Law Minister Faroogh Naseem and Special Assiatant to [Prime Minister on Accountability Shahzad Akbar wanted him to proceed against Supreme Court judge Justice Qazi Faez Isa and other opposition leaders during his tenure.
