Sheikhupura: In a housing society close to Kot Abdul Malik on Tuesday, unidentified shooters opened fire, leaving three security guards dead and a number of others hurt.

Along with a sizable number of officers, the chief of the Sheikhupura district police arrived at the crime scene. Latif, Sarfraz, and Mehr Ali were named as the deceased.
Earlier, three guards of a private housing society were killed and two others injured in a targeted attack near Rajhar in Chauntra, police said on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Kaleemullah, Aya Khan and Saeed Rehman, whose bodies were shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for postmortem. However, the identity of the two injured men, who were being treated in the hospital, could not be ascertained.
The reason behind the attack is said to be a land dispute between two parties, sources said.
The investigators of the Homicide Investigation Unit of Chauntra police station are investigating the triple murder case with no arrest made so far.
