Indian Chief Tyagi grabbed millions of rupees for the purchase of helicopters for the Indian Air Force in 2013.


Mumbai: The Indian Army has become a bastion of corruption and luxury as there have been 1,080 corruption scandals since 2010.
According to details, officers above the rank of colonel were given free liquor concessions from CSD. Only four bottles for the young officers, while no limit was set for the high ranked officers.
Indian army officers started selling free liquor in the market and earned income out of it. Legislation has also been made to pay less tax, however, the young officers were not subjected to the privileges.
Indian military officers also grab free rations. On the purchase of coffins for Indian soldiers who died in the Kargil war, three officers, including a major general, committed corruption of millions of rupees.
