Islamabad: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Wednesday announced to expands flight operation to 16 Chinese cities.

Travelers can now fly from Pakistan to 16 locations in China via Beijing as a result of a partnership between Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Air China.

The Travelers can now fly with Pakistan's national carrier to Guangzhou, Shanghai, Wuhan, Chengdu, Chongqing, Changchun, Hangzhou, and Harbin, according to a PIA staffer.

Additionally, the airline provides students with a 20 percent discount on flights between Pakistan and China.

The country's flag carrier has already said that it will start operating flights to China again on August 6. Initially, PIA will only run one trip per week on the Islamabad-Beijing-Islamabad route, departing Beijing at 21:15 on Sundays.

Officially, the cost of a one-way ticket from Beijing to Islamabad is 3814 RMB, and the cost of a round-trip ticket is 5685 RMB.

PIA offers low fares with free baggage of 80kg for economy class and 100kg for executive economy class, respectively. PIA offers inexpensive prices with free luggage allowances of 80kg for economy flights and 100kg for executive economy class.

If tickets are purchased online, the customers will receive additional discounts.

The concurrent flights to 16 places in China will strengthen friendship between Pakistan and China. Additionally, the growth of the flight network in China as a result of PIA's strategic choice is anticipated to increase airline income.

Earlier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) steward went ‘missing’ on Monday from a hotel after his arrival in Toronto, Canada from Lahore.

According to the PIA administration, flight crew member Muntazir Mehdi landed on Friday from Lahore to Toronto on aircraft PK-798 of the national carrier.

He had been residing in a hotel in the Canadian city with other team members.
