Abu Dhabi: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered condolences to President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the sad demise of his brother Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, in Abu Dhabi on Friday.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif was accompanied by Minister for Finance Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi and Ambassador of Pakistan to UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmizi.
The Prime Minister conveyed the profound sympathies and condolences of the leadership, Government and people of Pakistan to the President of UAE on his brother's demise, which was received with great warmth by Shiekh Muhammad Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
Pakistan and the UAE are bound by close fraternal ties.
Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is a sincere friend of Pakistan. His invaluable contributions will be long remembered by the Government and the people of Pakistan.
Just a day before, he took to Twitter to express condolences with UAE President Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan over demise of his brother Sheikh Saeed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan
He wrote, “I am deeply grieved to learn of the passing of Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed, the brother of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, President of the UAE.
I extend my deepest condolences and most sincere sympathies to my brother Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, the bereaved royal family and the people of the UAE. May Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace! Ameen,”.
