Indian media reported that a couple in Ratlam, Madyhya Pradesh swapped their wedding clothes for Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) kit and have been allowed to marry, despite the groom testing positive for COVID-19.

The wedding date was set and all preparations were done. Then wedding day came and the groom tested positive just a few days earlier. Even the deadly outbreak did not stop this couple in India from getting married.
Authorities were initially concerned about the event but after considerate discussions the couple agreed to wear full PPE kit.
Navin Garg, a district official, shared the news captioning, "The groom tested positive on April 19. We came here to stop the wedding but on the request and guidance of senior officials, the wedding was solemnized. The couple was made to wear PPE kits so that the infection doesn't spread”.

The wedding ceremony was recorded on camera, shared on social media and has since gone viral. However, several users criticized the couple for getting married amid a pandemic.
I can see no rational reason to have proceeded with the wedding at this stage. This is plain stupidity if you ask me. Waiting for 2 weeks would have been the wise thing to do.

Meanwhile, India's official Covid death toll has now surpassed 200,000 as the country is currently reeling under the second wave of Covid-19.
In view of the sharp rise in coronavirus-linked fatalities and cases, gatherings have been restricted to contain the spread of the novel virus.
