Islamabad: Pakistan has reported 151 deaths in one day as the third wave of the pandemic continued to rage across the country.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 5,480 cases of coronavirus were reported while 151 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 17,680.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 815,711.
As many as 708,193 patients have recovered from the disease with 5,263 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 298,818 in the province with 8,327 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 281,385 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,629.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 116,523 in the province with 3,238 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 22,118 confirmed cases while 233 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 16,931 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 470. On the other hand, there are 5,296 cases in GB with 106 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 74,640 cases in the capital city while 677 people have lost their lives.
