Irfan Khan’s family pens down emotional notes on actor’s first death anniversary
Mumbai: Irfan Khan’s family pens down deeply emotional and philosophical notes on the late Bollywood actor’s first death anniversary.

Irfan died in a Mumbai hospital on April 29 last year after losing a battle to colon cancer. Irfan’s wife, Sutapa Sikdar, still thinks that his husband is alive in the memories he has left behind.
“Irrfan insisted on reflecting upon every action and that’s what has been very helpful — the process of letting go, of not making hue and cry of small worries, remembering him that if he could handle a fatal disease why am I making a big deal about the smallest of things,” Irfan’s wife added in an interview given to a local newspaper.
The late actor’s wife further added that the biggest lesion that she has learnt from the life of legendary actor is, “when time comes, everyone has to go”.
His son, Babil also wrote a very touching note on social media. Remembering his father, Babil wrote on his twitter that his father is one of the greatest actors of Bollywood who started and concluded a legacy and an actor whom no one “can ever replace”.
Babil penned down that how the actor was in the face of immense pain and odds in his last two years.
“Chemo burns you from the inside, so to find joy in the simple things, like building your own table to write your own journals. There is a purity, I have not yet discovered. There is a legacy that has already been concluded by my Baba himself. A full stop. Nobody can ever replace him. Nobody will ever be able to. To the greatest best friend, companion, brother, father, I ever had and ever will have. I love you so much, for the rest of this chaos we are choosing to call life. I miss you, more than all that shah-Jahan/mumtaz stuff; I would have built a space monument that could have taken us to the furthest parts of a blackhole singularity you were always intrigued by, but I would have been there with you Baba, and we could have gone together, hand in hand.”
