Islamabad: Police Martyrs' Day is being celebrated across the country today (Friday, August 04).
For the security of country and the nation, policemen sacrificed their lives.
Constable Muhammad Arshad was martyred by terrorists while performing his duty at Phatianwali Bridge in August 13th, 2018.
Nadeem Arshad, the son of Shaheed Constable Muhammad Arshad, said: “My father was fearless and brave, I am proud of my father's martyrdom, I miss him a lot”.
He added that he was eight years old when his father was martyred.
Police Martyrs Day aims to honour brave fighters of the nation and express solidarity with their families and is celebrated every year to pay homage to the fallen heroes of the force.

The Martyrs Day is also observed on the death anniversary of Shaheed Safwat Ghayur, the commandant of Frontier Constabulary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police who was martyred in a suicide attack on his vehicle on 4th August 2010.
Special ceremonies will be held in this regard across the country today and floral wreaths will be laid on graves and monuments of martyrs of the police.
