Two suspects arrested for torturing elderly guard in DHA Lahore
According to DIG Operations, raids are also being conducted to arrest other three accused involved in the incident.
Lahore: Police arrested two suspects who tortured an elderly security guard for stopping a vehicle in Defense Raya Phase VI Lahore.
According to the police, 02 SMGs, 02 pistols, 29 magazines and hundreds of bullets were recovered from the possession of the accused.
According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations, raids are also being conducted to arrest other three accused involved in the incident.
The police said that the main accused of violence on the security guard has been identified as Ahmed Mayo. All the accused including the main accused will be brought to justice.
What’s the matter?
Few days earlier, five armed men tortured an elderly security guard who stopped them at entrance gate of DHA Raya club in white-colored double cabin vehicle. A case of violence was registered in the complaint of the victim elderly guard Abbas Ali in Defense-C police station.
While the CCTV footage of armed men torturing the elderly guard also came to light.
According to First Information Report (FIR), an attempt was made to stop a vehicle at the entrance of the club, the occupants of the double-cabin vehicle forcibly took the vehicle out of the entrance gate.
Five armed persons in the vehicle then assaulted the guard and threatened them with dire consequences.
It has been stated in the FIR that they fired directly at the security guard with the intention of killing, but luckily there was no loss of life. When the other security guards Jahanzeb and Shakir Ali tried to save them, they were also tortured.
All the five persons escaped in a white-colored car while firing in the air.
