AEMND demanded the arrest of the murderers.


Sukkur: Unidentified people opened fire and killed journalist Jaan Muhammad Mehar in Sukkur.
According to the police, journalist Jaan Muhammad was attacked on Queen's Road on his way home from the office, due to which he was injured.
The journalist was shifted to a private hospital in critical condition, however he could not succumbed to the injuries and died in the hospital during treatment.
Association of Electronic Media Editors and News Directors (AEMND) said that it condemns the murder of senior journalist Jaan Muhammad Mehar by firing of unknown persons.
AEMND added: “It is the responsibility of the government to provide security to journalists, Chief Minister and Inspector General (IG) Sindh should get the matter investigated by the authorities”.
It demanded that Chief Minister and IG Sindh should arrest the murderers of journalist Jaan Muhammad immediately.
On the other hand, unidentified people fired at the house of local journalist Farooq Paracha in Hangu, city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the police, the journalist's car and the door of the house were partially damaged by the firing. The police have started an investigation into the shooting incident.
