The Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations says they will will continue to raise Kashmir's call for liberation at the United Nations and in all forums.

Islamabad: Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Munir Akram on Monday vowed that Islamabad would continue to extend support to the Kashmiris' struggle for their right to self-determination and freedom from India.
In a message to the UN community on Independence Day, he said we will continue to raise Kashmir's call for liberation at the United Nations and in all forums.
Akram said hundreds of thousands of our Kashmiri brothers and sisters sacrificed their lives just to reach their promised homeland; to fulfill their dream of nationhood and liberty and we must never forget their heroism.
Earlier in the day, Pakistan's 77th Independence Day was commemorated with fervor and enthusiasm in the region of Kashmir.
The celebration began at midnight, with the spirited chants of "Pakistan Zindabad" resonating across the landscape, and the valley coming alive with the profound sentiment of Kashmir aligning itself with Pakistan.
Despite the challenging circumstances marked by the presence of Indian security forces and restrictive measures, the resilient Kashmiri populace is marking Pakistan's Independence Day with a sense of pride and dignity. The display of this sentiment has been evident through the widespread unfurling of Pakistani flags, the placement of posters and banners on walls, and the vocal expression of resistance slogans against India's unlawful occupation.
Kashmiris from every nook and cranny have taken to the streets, proudly clutching the Pakistani flag, embodying their unyielding spirit for Kashmir's self-determination and its integration with Pakistan.
