Qureshi hopes for political stability during Interim govt
He said that neutral people should come in the caretaker government, so that they can properly support Election Commission.
Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said, it is expected that the actions of caretaker government will reduce the situation of political tension.
In a statement, Shah Mahmood Qureshi stated that it would be better if there were people who are really neutral in the caretaker setup.
“There is possibility that caretaker setup would may reduce political instability created by Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM),” added Qureshi.
He continued to say that neutral people should come in the caretaker government, so that they can properly support Election Commission.
The former minister further expected that the actions of caretaker government will reduce the situation of political tension. If they announces the release of arrested women as a goodwill gesture, it will be a good progress.
PTI leader also added that caretaker government should ensure the facilities for former Prime Minister Imran Khan in jail as per law. Chairman PTI has been stuck in over 180 cases. Access and consultation of lawyers is necessary. He questioned why is the head of largest party of Pakistan not being given facilities according to the law.
