Magnitude 6.3 quake in Colombia, one killed

Bogota: A 6.3-magnitude earthquake was felt in Bogota, the capital of Colombia, and in central regions.
According to international media, the US Geological Survey has reported the magnitude of earthquake as 6.3. Due to the earthquake, sirens sounded and panic spread among the people, while dozens of aftershocks were also felt after the earthquake.
According to the report, referring to the Geological Survey of Colombia, an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 was felt yesterday, whose epicenter was in the area of El Calvario, 40 kilometers southeast of Bogota, while the depth was less than 30 kilometers.

Mayor Bogota instructed citizens to remain calm on possible aftershocks and take all precautions. Social media users have reported earthquakes in the nearby towns of Villavicencio, Bucaramanga, Tanuja and Abigail.
