The 20-kilogram sack will cost 3,000 rupees after a 100-rupee increase.

Quetta: The provincial capital of Balochistan, Quetta, has witnessed an unprecedented surge in flour prices, leaving the local government grappling with the economic implications.
Flour prices in Quetta have escalated even further, with a 20-kilogram sack now costing 3,000 rupees after a 100-rupee increase, while a 50-kilogram sack has reached up to 7,500 rupees.
Owners of flour mills express concerns about the smuggling of wheat from Balochistan to other regions.
Due to the situation, they are compelled to purchase wheat from the open market.
They emphasize that if smuggling is curbed and the government takes action, prices of wheat and flour could potentially decrease.
Flour mill owners have clarified that if the current circumstances persist, there might be further increases in the price of flour.
This surge in flour prices adds to the ongoing inflationary pressures that are already affecting the general public.
