If the reports of the Wagner Group leader's death are true, it wouldn't entirely surprise the US: USA officials.

Washington: US President Joe Biden has suggested that Russian President Putin could be linked to the death of the Wagner Group leader, raising eyebrows about potential connections between the two figures.
During discussions with reporters, Biden expressed concern about the tragic plane crash that claimed the life of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the private militia Wagner Group.
Biden hinted at the possibility that Putin might have had a hand in the incident.
Biden stated that such incidents are not uncommon in Russia without Putin's involvement, but regarding the demise of the Wagner Group's leader, he indicated limited knowledge and refrained from providing a definitive answer.
According to media reports, the US President was briefed about the news of the Wagner Group leader's death.
On the other hand, US officials have stated that if the reports of the Wagner Group leader's death are true, it wouldn't entirely surprise the United States.
Meanwhile, an affiliated media group of the Wagner Group has alleged that the Russian Ministry of Defense targeted a private plane.
