Mother booked for torturing daughter in Okara

Okara: When the video of a girl being tortured by her mother in Okara went viral on social media, the police took action against the mother and arrested her.

According to details, a case has been registered against mother Muqaddas in Saddar police station under the provisions of violence against four-year-old daughter Areeba Ilyas in the complaint of her grandmother Asia Bibi.

A video went viral on social media in which a woman was beating a child. As soon as the information was received, Deputy Police Officer (DPO) Okara took notice of the incident and directed the police to take action.

The police took immediate action and took the victim's mother into custody.

The girl has been demanded to be handed over to the child bureau or Asia Bibi’s custody because the grandmother said that mother Muqaddas Bibi has threatened to kill the daughter. Police have started further investigation.
