30 students hospitalized after food poisoning at school hostel
The health department collected samples for testing the hostel's food and water: Health team.
Maharastra: Around 30 students were admitted to the hospital from a school hostel due to food poisoning in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
According to Indian media reports, students residing in the Yerali Ashram School hostel experienced symptoms of vomiting, stomach pain, and fever after consuming their meals.
A team from the district health department examined 325 students residing in the hostel.
Among them, 30 students were immediately transferred to the hospital due to their deteriorating condition.
Local authorities have stated that the students fell ill due to food poisoning, and prompt medical care was provided to them.
It has been assured that the health condition of all the students is now stable, and they will be discharged from the hospital soon.
The administration has informed that the health department's team has collected samples from the hostel for testing, including food and water, to determine the cause of the food poisoning incident.
