The federal caretaker minister for information and broadcasting says they will not allow anyone to fan the flames of extremism and lawlessness.

Govt believes in protecting rights of citizens as per law: Solangi

Islamabad: Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi on Friay said the government believed in protecting and promoting the rights of all citizens in accordance with the constitution and the law.

Talking to the head of Pakistan Ulema Council Maulana Tahir Ashrafi, who called on him today, he said we will not allow anyone to fan the flames of extremism and lawlessness.

The Information Minister said minorities, especially Christians, played an important role in the establishment of Pakistan. 

Murtaza Solangi said caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar strongly denounced Jaranwala incident. He said such behaviours will not be tolerated. He said the process of construction and rehabilitation of the affected churches and the houses of the affected people is underway.

Maulana Tahir Ashrafi was appreciative of caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar and caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Syed Mohsin Naqvi for their prompt action against those involved in Jaranwala tragedy.

Maulana Tahir Ashrafi also felicitated Murtaza Solangi on assuming the office of the Information Minister.
