PIA's immediate demand of Rs23 billion, finance ministry refused
The Ministry of Finance is of the view that PIA should come up with a workable restructuring plan.
Islamabad: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has immediately requested to provide 23 billion rupees.
Responding the demand of PIA, the Ministry of Finance is of the opinion that they are not in a position to provide funds immediately. PIA should arrange loans from commercial banks.
The Ministry of Finance is of the view that PIA should come up with a workable restructuring plan.
It may be recalled that PIA had requested the caretaker Finance Minister Shamshad Akhtar for immediate funding.
