Islamabad: Interim Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Monday directed the authorities concerned to accelerate the realisation of identified projects by capitalising the enabling environment already achieved through Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
The 4th Apex Committee Meeting of SIFC, the first gathering under the interim government, was being presided over by the premier in order to maintain the Council's momentum for progress.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Army Staff, entire federal cabinet, chief ministers, provincial ministers and high-level government officials.
The participants received a thorough overview of SIFC projects, including updates on important developments and benchmarks reached thus far in a short period of time. As a result of a cooperative "Whole of Government Approach" for attaining horizontal and vertical synergy, Prime Minister Kakar praised SIFC's effective operation.
The Apex Committee praised SIFC's worldwide outreach strategy and continuous interactions with brotherly and friendly nations, including the fruitful visits of high-level delegations from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS).
The Apex Committee expressed trust in SIFC measures and demonstrated its resolve and support in maintaining the successful course toward the resuscitation of the nation's economy.
Furthermore, the body also supported projects that had been approved by the previous administration for drawing capital into important industries like agribusiness, equine, mining, minerals, information technology, and energy.
The army chief reaffirmed Pakistan Army’s all-out support to caretaker government for continuity of policies in a bid to revive country’s economy and steer Pakistan towards progress and prosperity.
