Lahore: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested a drug smuggler from Lahore in another major operation against drug smuggling using drones.
According to details, following the intelligence information, a vehicle was indicated to stop near Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Lahore when the accused in the car drove away from the spot instead of stopping.
During the pursuit of the vehicle, the accused hit the vehicle on the footpath and the driver Fayaz Hussain who is resident of Lahore, was arrested on the spot.
During the search of the car, 10 kg heroin and drone were recovered from the vehicle. A packet of 1kg heroin was attached to the drone. ANF wanted the arrested accused in other cases also.
The arrested accused confessed to drug smuggling through drones during the investigation. However further interrogations are underway to arrest other members of the group.
