Farooq Sattar says when traders faced suspension reactions like the ongoing protests were expected.

Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Farooq Sattar on Wednesday declared that his party would participate in the nationwide protests against inflation and steep electricity bills.
Farooq Sattar made this announcement while addressing a press conference in Karachi alongside members of a timber traders’ association.
Farooq Sattar highlighted that when traders faced suppression, reactions like the ongoing protests were expected.
He stated that combination of escalated electricity bills and extensive power outages caused huge distress among the masses, conveying their commitment to help address the challenges faced by traders. He emphasized their solidarity with the trading community.
A delegation of traders visited the MQM-P office, engaging in discussions concerning issues related to electricity, gas, and water supply. Sattar mentioned that the leader of the timber traders, Sharjeel Goplani, had staunchly advocated for the rights of his community.
Sattar also directed criticism towards K-Electric, cautioning that any unlawful actions taken by the power supply company would be met with reciprocal measures. He asserted their determination to counteract any illegal actions by blocking them.
