Parvez Elahi transferred to Attock Jail
According to reports, Islamabad Police arrested Parvez Elahi under 3 MPO.
Lahore: Former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, who was arrested from Lahore, has been transferred to Attock Jail.
Yesterday, President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was arrested by Islamabad Police from Canal Road Lahore.
Elahi had left for home from Lahore High Court (LHC) in the presence of Lahore Police, however near Zahoor Elahi House, Islamabad Police stopped politician’s car and took him away with a baton.
Earlier, the LHC had ordered the release of Chaudhry Parvez Elahi saying in the written order Parvez will not be arrested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) or any authority and agency while Elahi will not be detained under any law.
According to reports, Islamabad Police arrested Parvez Elahi under Three Maintenance of Public Order (3 MPO).
However, it is also reported that former Chief Minister of Punjab who was arrested from Lahore and has been transferred to Attock Jail under tight security.
Reports said that Parvez Elahi will be detained in Jail for 15 days under 3 MPO.
