Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has said some sections of media have misreported the recent interaction of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar Ul Haq Kakar with journalists on Thursday.
Islamabad: Caretaker Minister for Information & Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi called on caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar in Islamabad today.
During the meeting, Murtaza Solangi briefed the Prime Minister about the affairs of his ministry.
Possible strategies for effective representation of Pakistan's positive narrative in the United Nations General Assembly Session (UNGA 78), to be held next month, also came under discussion.
The Federal Secretary for Information & Broadcasting and Principal Information Officer were also present on the occasion.
In a separate development, Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has said some sections of media have misreported the recent interaction of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar Ul Haq Kakar with journalists on Thursday.
In a news statement, Murtaza Solangi clarified that when the Prime Minister was asked during the interaction whether the electricity bills had caused chaos or anarchy in the country, he ruled out the anarchy, but did not dismiss the matter as non-issue.
He said the Prime Minister had not stated that the issue of electricity bills is not worrisome for the people, rather he explained what are the reasons behind the expensive electricity.
The Information Minister said that the prime minister reaffirmed in the media interaction that the solution would soon be worked out.
He appealed to the media to report news according to the facts.
