An Indian bride canceled her wedding after her groom failed to recite the multiplication table of two correctly.

According to Indian local media, the unusual incident occurred in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India where a bride called off her wedding after husband failed basic math test.
The groom all decked up, reached the wedding hall with the wedding procession but the bride, who was skeptical of his educational qualifications, decided to test the groom’s knowledge and asked him to recite the two times table, before the garlands could be exchanged.

Speaking to local India media, the bride's cousin stated that their family was not informed correctly about the educational credentials of groom.
"He may not have even gone to school. The groom's family had cheated us. But my brave sister walked out without fearing social taboo."
Friends and relatives failed to convince the bride following which both sides returned all gifts and jewelry.
