Australian cricket squad for World Cup 2023 announced
Cricket Australia said the initial 15-man squad for World Cup has been announced.
Melbourne: Cricket Australia has announced the preliminary squad for International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricket World Cup 2023.
Cricket Australia said the initial 15-man squad for World Cup has been announced, with the final squad to be confirmed to the ICC on September 28.
The Australian squad includes captain Pete Cummins, Shane Abbott, Ashton Agar, Alkis Carey, Cameron Green and Josh Hazlewood.
Moreover, Travis Head, Josh Ingles, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoins, David Warner and Adam Zampa are also included in the squad.

Cricket Australia chief selector George Bailey said Pat Cummins, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc and Glenn Maxwell are all set to return to cricket, with all cricketers hoping to feature in the series against India as well.
George Bailey also stated that there are 08 One Day Internationals (ODIs) against South Africa and India before the final squad is announced, a chance to form the combination ahead of the tournament.
