PM felicitates KP govt after it becomes first province with health coverage for all citizens
Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan took to Twitter on Monday congratulated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government for making it the first province in Pakistan with universal health coverage for all domiciled citizens.

Taking to twitter, PM wrote that 40 million people will be provided with free health insurance.
“Congratulations to KP govt for making KP first province in Pak with Universal Health Coverage for all KP-domiciled citizens. 40,000,000 residents covered with free health insurance. Free treatment upto Rs. 1, 000,000 per family per year in over 400 govt/private hospitals across Pak,” PM shared.

Earlier yesterday, KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan tweeted that with the launch of Sehat Card in Southern districts, KP will become the first province to have universal coverage of health insurance for 100& population.
With tomorrow's launch of Sehat Card in Southern Districts we ll become first province to have universal coverage of health insurance for 100 % population . It's a big step towards achieving the dream of welfare state on pattern of Riasat e Madina as envisioned by Imran Khan.

In November 2020, KP government rolled its universal health insurance initiative -- the Sehat Sahulat card -- which is termed by Prime Minister Imran Khan as a huge step towards making Pakistan a welfare state based on Riyasat-e-Medina.
