Back to school; Thousands of students resume academic activities under strict SOPs
Islamabad: Academic life has returned as schools, colleges and universities across Pakistan reopened today under strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), after a gap of nearly three months amid second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to details, educational institutions across the country have reopened after students stayed at homes for months, taking online classes in an attempt to slow down the spread of the contagious virus.
Federal minister of education, Shafqat Mahmood turned to twitter on Sunday night and wished students all the best for academic activities.
All the remaining educational institutions are opening tomorrow. I wish the very best to all students.

The decision to reopen the schools were taken after the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), had a detailed discussion with all stakeholders and decided that educational institutions shall resume all remaining classes at the primary, middle and university level on February 1.
Today, Pakistan has witnessed a decline in coronavirus deaths for the second successive day as it reported 26 coronavirus deaths and 1,615 new positive cases in the last 24 hours.
Earlier in the last week of January, the Federal Minister stated that Pakistan has witnessed too much loss of education amid COVID-19.
"Pakistan needs to invest more in educational sectors in the coming years" he added.
