ACE Director General Sohail Zafar Chattha says the misuse of authority within the Lahore Master Plan project had led to an estimated misappropriation of Rs10 billion by Parvez Elahi and his son Moonis Elahi.

Lahore: Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Wednesday held former Punjab Chief Minister of PunjabChaudhry Parvez Elahi and his son Moonis Elahi accused of substantial financial impropriety in connection with the Lahore Master Plan project.
ACE Director General Sohail Zafar Chattha made startling accusations while addressing a press conference in Lahore on Wednesday.
Chattha said that the misuse of authority within the Lahore Master Plan project had led to an estimated misappropriation of Rs10 billion by Parvez Elahi and his son Moonis Elahi.
Chattha further alleged that the former Chief Minister had purportedly manipulated the project's approval process, in clear violation of established rules and regulations. He added that Kotli Rai Abu Bakar, a village located approximately 50 kilometers from Lahore in the Kasur district, had been deceptively incorporated into the project.
In addition to these claims, the ACE official expressed serious doubts regarding the authenticity of documents related to Parvez Elahi's property holdings in Kasur, suggesting that these documents may have been fabricated. Consequently, a case has been registered to investigate these concerns.
Chattha also revealed that Muhammad Khan Bhatti, a close associate of the former Chief Minister, had allegedly been appointed to a grade 22 position unlawfully. Furthermore, Parvez Elahi was accused of engaging in illicit recruitment practices within the Punjab Assembly.
