President Alvi expressed his desire to carry out presidential responsibilities until a new president is elected.

Islamabad: Today marks the culmination of President Dr. Arif Alvi's five-year tenure in office, with reports indicating that he will not leave the Presidential Palace vacant.
Instead, he has expressed his commitment to fulfilling presidential duties until a new president is elected.
After some crucial consultative meetings last week, President Alvi expressed his willingness to carry out presidential responsibilities until the selection of a new president.
Following the completion of his visit to Lahore, he returned to Islamabad.
Before his return to Islamabad, President Alvi also made a visit to Data Darbar, offering special prayers.
It is noteworthy that, despite the approaching end of his term, he continues to attend to his presidential duties with dedication.
In recent news, there has been speculation about the upcoming elections and their political implications.
While it is clear that an election period is approaching, the uncertain political climate has led to hopes of change.
Reports suggest that there is a developing rift in Sindh's political landscape, with the emergence of new alliances and power dynamics.
It is worth mentioning that the news of alleged connections and affiliations between the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the MQM-Pakistan, as well as the presence of numerous PPP-affiliated individuals on a list of 360 new flyers, has caused significant commotion in Islamabad's political circles.
In certain constituencies of Islamabad, this news has stirred considerable interest, as the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) are gearing up for electoral competition against the PPP.
The PPP has been accused of increasing its influence in Sindh's politics over the past 15 years, with the MQM making strides in some urban areas and the JI gaining ground in rural regions.
