Pakistan expressed concerns regarding the prediction of rain and the event's rescheduling.

Colombo: The Pakistan Cricket Board's efforts have brought results as the Asian Cricket Council has agreed to reserve a day for the Pakistan-India match during the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka.
Heavy rains are currently ongoing in Sri Lanka, and the country's meteorological department has predicted more rainfall in the coming days, raising concerns about the tournament's final as well.
During the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka, Pakistan raised several objections due to severe rains, and they demanded compensation for the losses incurred due to the downpour.
Pakistan expressed concerns regarding the prediction of rain and the event's rescheduling, and now, after PCB's concerns and objections, the ACC has decided to allocate a reserve day for the Pakistan-India match.
The Pakistan-India Asia Cup match, scheduled for September 10, will also have a reserve day on September 11 if the match cannot be completed on the initial date.
The match will resume from where it was halted.
If the match is moved to the reserve day, India will have to play back-to-back matches because India is scheduled to play against Sri Lanka on September 12.
If, due to rain, the Pakistan-India match on September 11 is also not feasible and the Sri Lanka-India match scheduled for September 12 is washed out as well, then Pakistan will directly advance to the final, and the choice of the second finalist team will be decided by a toss.
In case the final of the Asia Cup on September 17 is also affected by rain, both finalist teams will be declared joint winners.
