Inflation in Pakistan reaches 26.32% annually
The report stated that price of tomato rose by 17%, lentils by 10.8%, sugar by 6.7%, garlic by 4.6% and jaggery by 3.6%.
Islamabad: Bureau of Statistics has released the weekly inflation report.
According to the Institute of Statistics, inflation has reached 26.32 percent on annual basis in Pakistan.
The report stated that price of tomato rose by 17%, lentils by 10.8%, sugar by 6.7%, garlic by 4.6%, jaggery by 3.6% and beans by 3.5%.
Apart from this, the price of onion has gone up by 3.4%, pulses by 3.2%, diesel by 6.2%, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) by 5.1% and petrol by 5.1% in a week.
The report further stated that in a week, chicken became cheaper by 3.2 percent, five liters of cooking oil by one percent.
