Jail authorities refuse to allow Imran Khan to talk to sons
Jail Superintendent added that accused of Secret Act are not provided with telephone facility.
Attock: The Attock Jail authorities have refused to allow Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan to have a telephonic conversation with his sons.
According to details, the Superintendent of Attock Jail submitted a written response to the contempt of court petition in Special Court for Official Secrets Act in Islamabad.
The Attock Jail Superintendent said in response that jail rules do not allow to let him have a telephonic conversation.
He added that according to the laws, the accused of Secret Act are not provided with telephone facility. The court order regarding telephone was not violated.
In this regard, the judge of court Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain called for arguments on September 18 following the reply of Attock Jail Superintendent.
Superintendent Attock Jail has also submitted the letter of Punjab Prisoners Foundation to the court.
According to the Jail Superintendent's reply, as per the Prisoners Rules, 1978, the prisoners are not allowed to talk to have foreign conversations over telephones.
