Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) rejected the objection filed by the registered political party Istehkam-e-Pakistan Tehreek (IPT) on the name of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP).
According to details, Election Commission said in its decision there is a difference between the two names. The Commission will proceed with the registration of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party as per the law.
The Election Commission gave a protective verdict saying that commission has observed that there are similarities in the names of many registered parties but there are also differences between them.
The decision added that matter of registration and giving party symbol of IPP is pending, IPT's objection to the name of IPP is rejected.
