Double riding prohibited in multiple cities in Sindh

Double riding prohibited in multiple cities in Sindh

Karachi: The Sindh Home Department has implemented a ban on double riding on motorcycles in various cities across the province, including Karachi.

This decision comes in light of the observance of a silent mourning day on the 8th of Rabi-ul-Awwal and processions on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, for which an official notification has been issued.

The Sindh government has also declared a public holiday on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal in observance of these events.

As per the notification, double riding will not be allowed in the following cities on the specified dates:

  • Karachi
  • Hyderabad
  • Dadu
  • Nawab Shah
  • Khairpur
  • Sukkur
  • Ghotki
  • Larkana

In Karachi, the ban on double riding is as follows:

  • East District: 8th, 11th, and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal
  • Central District: 11th and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal
  • Kemari, City, and South: 7th, 8th, 11th, and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal
