Washington: The United States of America has emerged as a key player in the investigation of the murder of Canadian Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar, with reports indicating that the US has provided critical information to Canada, potentially implicating India in the killing.
According to a report by The New York Times, American intelligence agencies have actively contributed to the probe into Hardeep Singh Najjar's murder.
Based on US intelligence, Canada has reportedly uncovered evidence suggesting India's involvement in the assassination of the Sikh leader.
The report highlights the practice of the US intelligence community sharing sensitive information with its allied nations.
In the past, the US has provided Canada with confidential intelligence pertaining to other global matters, notably involving China.
As part of a comprehensive intelligence-sharing arrangement, the US has reportedly shared crucial information with Canada regarding the investigation into Hardeep Singh Najjar's murder.
It's worth noting that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has called for India to be held accountable for the killing of Hardeep Singh Najjar.
