Karachi: A meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will take place on Wednesday evening (today) to sight the moon of Eid-ul-Fitr.

As per details, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is scheduled to meet in Islamabad today for Shawwal moon sighting after Maghrib prayers.
The sighting will signal the commencement of this year's Eidul Fitr.
Chairman of the Committee, Abdul Khabeer Azad will preside the meeting and will announce whether the moon of 1st Shawwal sighted or not.
Moreover, the meetings of Zonal and district Ruet-e-Hilal Committees in their respective areas will also be held.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted that there will be no chance of sighting the new moon of Shawwal 1442 AH on 29th of Ramadan (Wednesday).
However, Eid-Ul-Fitr will likely to be celebrated on Friday.
Shawwal moon has not been sighted in Saudi Arabia and the kingdom will celebrate Eid tomorrow May 13.
