Islamabad: Gilgit-Baltistan’s Shigar District is all set to become the hub of adventure and excitement with the mega event of Sarfranga Cold Desert Rally is going to held from October 6th to 8th, 2023 with the collaboration of Tourism Department GB and Pakwheels to attract the international and local tourists.

Secretary Tourism Gilgit Baltistan Asif Ullah Khan giving briefing to media persons at Serena Hotel about Sarfa Ranga Cold Desert Car Rally on Saturday said that Gilgit-Baltistan region, Pakistan, is known for its stunning beauty and natural attractions.

This mega event will be held in the Sarfaranga Desert, one of the highest cold deserts on the planet, he added .

The Chief Executive Officer of Pakwheels Sunil Munj while briefing about the salient features and events of Sarfranga Cold Desert Rally said that the rally will offer a unique and challenging experience to participants, with a variety of terrains to navigate, including sand dunes, gravel roads, and water crossings. It will also be a great opportunity for spectators to witness the thrill of off-road racing in a stunning setting.
