PTI govt will always stand by overseas Pakistanis especially labourers, says Fawad
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information, Fawad Chaudhary has said that the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) will always stand by overseas Pakistanis especially the labourers.

Taking to twitter, the Information minister attributed the credit to Prime Minister Imran Khan for feeling the pain of workers abroad and said that the embassies of Pakistan are accountable to their workers and citizens.
“The treatment of ordinary people by our bureaucracy is absolutely not enviable. Embassies, like any other department, have very good officers, but there are several [unfortunate] stories where Pakistanis were not treated well in the past,” he said.

Yesterday, PM retracted of his criticism of Pakistani embassies, saying the Foreign Office was doing a great job, especially in highlighting the Kashmir issue at international forums.
His clarification came after he held a live Q&A session with the public when he was asked by an overseas Pakistani about the issues faced by Pakistani expats abroad.
Last week, Imran Khan had severely criticized the country’s top envoys in a live session for failing to serve the Pakistani community in their respective countries of residence. Following that, he had to face strong reactions from political and Foreign Service circles who expressed their anger to the relevant authorities.
