Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain remarked that the statements of the witnesses were sufficient to issue notices to the accused.


Islamabad: The Official Secrets Act Court Monday issued a notice to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the cypher case directing them to appear before the court on October 04.
According to details, Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain of the Official Secret Act Court issued notices to both the accused after receiving the challan of the cypher case.
Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain remarked that the statements of the witnesses were sufficient to issue notices to the accused.
In the notice issued by the court, it was stated that former Prime Minister Imran Khan and former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi are imprisoned in Adiala Jail.
A notice has been issued to the Superintendent of Adiala Jail for the court appearance of both of them, that they should produce both the accused in court on October 4.
On the other hand, the Official Secrets Act court accepted PTI's lawyer Khalid Yousuf's request to provide copies of the cypher case. The court staff said that it would take a day to provide the copies and would be provided by Wednesday.
