Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) approved bail pleas of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan in cases related to the May 9 riots on Monday.
The Islamabad High Court's two-member panel that included Chief Justice Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri took up the PTI chairman's 9-B petition.
The court reversed the lower court's judgment to deny the case for non-compliance after hearing the PTI chairman's arguments.
The IHC reinstated the former prime minister's bail requests and ordered police not to detain him until the trial court had ruled on the requests.
Moreover, it should be noted that the PTI chairman's bail requests were denied due to non-compliance because he is currently being held at Adiala jail on a cipher case.
