It is reported that singer Sharafat Ali was returning home after attending a wedding ceremony.


Mianwali: In an unfortunate incident, seven people, including a Saraiki folk singer Sharafat Ali, died after a car plunged into a canal in Mianwali.
According to the rescue officials, the accident happened late at night near Van Bachharan Pakka Ghanjira, area of Mianwali due to high speed.
The bodies of all the people were taken out of the car and shifted to nearby hospital as soon as it fell into the canal. The victims of the incident also include the famous Siraiki singer Shrafat Ali Khelvi.
It is reported that singer Sharafat Ali was returning home after attending a wedding ceremony. However, it is not immediately known who the other six people were in the car with him.
Police also reached the spot soon after getting the information and started investigation to ascertain the cause of the incident. The bag full of cash found in the singer's car in the accident was handed over to the relatives by the police.
