The capital of the Philippines experienced the unsettling tremors of a 5.2-magnitude earthquake, lasting for approximately 10 seconds at 8:24 a.m. local time.
Reports indicate that the earthquake's epicenter was located 100 kilometers to the south of the capital city, Manila.
The United States Geological Survey recorded the earthquake's magnitude as 5.2, although the earthquake's depth is yet to be determined.
In the aftermath of the quake, fear and panic spread throughout the region, prompting people to exit buildings and seek safety on the streets.
Fortunately, local media reported no casualties or significant property damage resulting from the earthquake.
