lahore: In the third match of the HBL Pakistan Super League Season 11, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Rawalpindi by five wickets.
The match was played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, where Rawalpindi’s captain Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and elected to bat first.
Rawalpindi posted a total of 214 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. The innings was opened by Mohammad Rizwan and Yasir Khan, both of whom displayed excellent batting.
Yasir Khan scored 83 runs, while captain Mohammad Rizwan made 41. Kamran Ghulam contributed 37, Daryl Mitchell added 23, and Sam Billings chipped in with 18 runs.
For Peshawar Zalmi, fast bowler Ali Raza took 2 wickets.
Chasing a target of 215, Peshawar Zalmi successfully reached the total in the final over, losing five wickets.
For the winning side, Mohammad Haris scored 47 runs, while Babar Azam made 39. Michael Bracewell contributed 35, and Abdul Samad played a quick innings of 33 runs off just 11 balls.
